Great Corby Studio
Iyengar wall ropes yoga studio Great Corby Cumbria

Our classes are varied.

We use many props such as swiss balls, yoga wheels, resistance bands, weights, blocks, belts, chairs, people, golf clubs plus when we get outdoors in the summer we use slack lines, climbing frames and trees!

Classes are multi level and for all ages.

Many options are given, choose the one thats right for you.

Yoga is simply a practice of connecting the mind and body via the breath with an emphasis on spine health and is non competitive.

Hatha classes have a gentler pace and allow more time to focus on breath and alignment. Poses are held for longer to increase strength, mobility and self awareness.

While “yang” yoga focuses on your muscles, Yin Yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

Vinyasa Flow uses one breath per movement and creates heat within the body from moving at a quicker pace. Vinyasa will improve your fitness and stamina.

Because class times are shorter than a traditional 90 minute class relaxation time at the beginning and closing will be reduced.
